Agreed on transgender roles. Trans actors have hard enough time getting cast in *any* role, I've heard. And it just feels disrespectful and exploitive to want to show a fictional trans story at the exclusion of real life trans actors??? Like, what's the point???

The knife catfight means several different things to me specifically that I'm coming to grips with. But I think one that had a universal impact was that it wasn't shown in a ho ho ho, a feisty girl is fighting, so hot amiright? sort of way. Valkyrie got dignity and she owned in that fight. Also, Loki wasn't shown as any less of a man for getting his butt handed to him by a girl. He was a bit awed to be going toe-to-toe with a Valkyrie.
