I haven't thought about that, being more comfortable at romance conventions. Because sci-fi and romance are both marginalized in different ways--one would think that any and all contributors would be welcome in the geekdom. But then again, romance tends to be marginalized just because it's seen as a woman's genre, so there's that to consider as well.
